The line is being released in three vitolas:
West Tampa Tobacco Co. Red Robusto (5 x 50) — $8.99 (Box of 20, $179.80)
West Tampa Tobacco Co. Red Toro (6 x 52) — $9.99 (Box of 20, $199.80)
West Tampa Tobacco Co. Red Gigante (6 x 60) — $10.99 (Box of 20, $219.80)
“West Tampa Red gave me the opportunity to sit down with the factory and really focus on creating a blend that I enjoy,” said Rick Rodriguez, master blender and co-owner of West Tampa Tobacco Co., via a press release. “Normally when I blend cigars, I don’t blend for what I like, I blend cigars for what my fans enjoy. Red will be a reflection of what I believe is the next piece to lay in the West Tampa puzzle, a full-bodied cigar that delivers the full flavor consumers have come to enjoy from West Tampa.”
West Tampa Red follows the West Tampa White and West Tampa Black lines that were released at launch of West Tampa Tobacco Company. The Red series is said to use the same wrapper (Mexican San Andres) as the Attic Series release with an all-Nicaraguan binder and filler. The cigars are expected to ship in May.
