From Alec Bradley:
Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock are shipping today, marking the twelfth and sixth release of the annual, limited edition take on the brand’s popular Black Market blend, respectively.
For 2024, 5,000 boxes of each blend will be released.
Bradley Rubin, brand ambassador for Alec Bradley cigars said, “Anticipation continues to build each year for the release of Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock. With their bright green wrappers and fresh herbal notes, these candela smokes offer a great change of pace at a time when spring’s on everyone’s mind. The blends have become part of the cigar community’s annual ritual and we’re pleased that we have once again been able to source the perfect aged candela wrapper to make this year’s release a reality.”
Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock are based on the popular Alec Bradley Black Market blend which has been tweaked to complement the multiple wrapper format. Filthy Hooligan features a Honduran Candela and Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro barber pole wrapper, while Filthy Hooligan Shamrock is triple-wrapped with the same Honduran Candela and Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro wrapper as Filthy Hooligan, with the addition of a claro shade Nicaraguan Habano leaf. Both blends feature an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, with Honduran and Panamanian filler.
Handcrafted at Tobacos de Oriente in Danli, Honduras, both blends are available exclusively in 6” x 50 toro formats. Filthy Hooligan is presented in a handsome green and black striped box containing 24 cigars, which will sell for an MSRP of $12.69 per cigar. Filthy Hooligan Shamrock comes in an attractive, 10-count gray box with a large shamrock on the lid. The cigars will sell for $15.09 apiece.
The release of Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock paves the way for the upcoming release of Uru Dushi, a blend developed in partnership between Alec Bradley and Cigar Dojo to commemorate Leap Year. Originally released on Feb. 29, 2020, the 2024 Uru Doshi blend features unique Honduran and Nicaraguan leaves that comprise the cigar's filler and double-binder recipe. Uru Doshi 2024 employs subtle tweaks to the tobacco primings, making for a slightly amped-up take on the 2020 edition. Additionally, the Jamastran wrapper of the original cigar has been swapped with a Honduran Criollo '98, selected from Honduras' Trojes region.
Uru Doshi (2024) was crafted at Raíces Cubanas. A total of 3,000 cigars will be released in a 6" x 52 toro format and sold exclusively through online retailer Smoke Inn Cigars for an SRP of $9.00 per cigar. Tying into the leap-year theme, Uru Doshi 2024 will launch on Thursday, Feb. 29th, 2024 (also known as Leap Day).
